Presentation to Mrs Coughlan
to mark her 90th birthday.

A great celebration took place in St. Mary’s Church Raheen on Saturday August 30 2009. A Mass of thanksgiving was concelebrated to mark the 90 birthday of Mrs. Elizabeth Coughlan, and 58 years as organist in St. Mary’s Church, a role she continues to faithfully fulfil every Saturday evening. This celebration at the request of the Raheen choir, co-ordinated by Mrs Kathleen McHugh & Mrs Breda O’Connor, was celebrated by Fr. John Stapleton P.P. and her nephew-in-law Fr. Noel Daly.
On behalf of the choir, Mrs. Kathleen McHugh and Mrs Maggie Begnall presented an engraved Galway Crystal Vase, a bouquet of Flowers, and a birthday cake to Mrs Coughlan. Fr. Stapleton presented a Stations of the Cross piece on behalf of the parish.
